THE SECRETARIAT'S MESSAGE
SECRETARY GENERAL'S MESSAGE
It all began in 2013 when in the heart of our school campus, a beginning was made, and a dream was woven. The dream of a teacher, the dream of the students and what would go on to be the dream of hundreds of people- it all began nine years ago. From being a mere conference initially to becoming a feeling that possesses the beating hearts of the delegates in the committee rooms among the rallying, the desk banging and the debating, JMUN has truly travelled a long way.
From bringing in the GPS format to the Lucknow circuit to bringing forth committees discussing Constitutional Laws, Safety of Journalists, Settlement on Mars, Economic crisis and Trojan wars, JMUN always comes back bigger, better and more creative every year.
Carrying forward this legacy, the year, the Eighth Edition and first Virtual session of Jaipuria Model United Nations brings to you an opportunity to upgrade your skills in the comfort of your home. We promise learning, knowledge, experience, agendas and crises that won’t allow you to stay silent. We promise communication, cooperation, understanding, encouragement to speak your mind and memories which you will not forget. This year, we bring to you eight riveting committees, including a Beginners’ Committee. We aim to provide not only a competitive and heated atmosphere to all our delegates but also a training ground for the new entrants in the world of MUNning. From deliberating upon the concerns of Transnational Organised Crime to addressing the demands for Cultural Reorganisation of states in India, from questioning the augmentation of trust in media to helping the Soviet Administration Military Council during the Berlin Blockade, the conference offers a spectrum of agendas, highlighting issues of the world and rests the responsibility to solve them, on the shoulders of our delegates. Our Team awaits your presence as we bring back the season to Defend,Deliberate and Deliver.
Sania Bhargava, Secretary General
Jaipuria Model United Nations 2021.
